Luxturna (voretigene neparvovec) is an approved retinal gene therapy in the UK for Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP) caused by mutations in the RPE65 gene.
Affected UK patients are able to receive Luxturna treatment under the NHS through these four specialist centres:
- Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London (for children below 10 years of age)
- Moorfields Eye Hospital, London (for children and adults)
- Manchester Royal Eye Hospital
- Oxford Eye Hospital
